Of Mice and Me

I was sitting in my office one night, typing away at the computer, when something caught my eye. I could swear I saw things moving, but I shrugged it off as low caffeine levels in my blood.

But then I saw it again. Something was moving. Maybe it was a ladybug flying in my office (they visit frequently) or maybe I was going crazy. Either way, I shrugged it off again, and kept typing, but a little more aware of my surroundings.

Ten minutes go by, and sure enough, there it was again. A moving object. This time, I slowly peer over my computer, only to see the beady little eyes of a mouse staring back at me. He scurried off, surely hiding with his colleagues, planning something devious. Unfortunately for me, I had found their food source: left over chocolate bars that were laying around. (For the record: I didn't purchase them, but I also didn't dispose of them)

So I set a trap, and headed out for a few hours. I went back to check on the trap, and BAM! The mouse was dead. VICTORY WAS MINE! So I reset the trap, for future mice who were stupid enough to invade my workspace, and headed home. Seven mice total were laid to rest in the next few days.

So what? This isn't just a story of some mouse killing spree. The reason I am writing this is because it is so relate-able to our lives.

Just having those chocolate bars laying around wasn't a big problem. Sure they took up a couple of inches of my office, but they weren't doing any damage... or so I thought. But because I left those chocolate bars unchecked, they led to bigger problems. Mice-sized problems. And those mice left their marks (mice poop) all over my office.

That's exactly how our walk with God can be. Sure, we have some things (pride, anger, selfishness, laziness) that are keeping us from Him, but we think "it's not that bad." We think they are just "white lies" or "small sins." But when we leave those "little sins" alone, they allow for tragedies to come into our lives. You see, without the chocolate, those mice probably wouldn't have been in my office. But because I left the chocolate laying around (out of laziness, lack of urgency, etc.), it gave those mice a foothold into my world.

Those "little sins" can lead to some "mice poop" or scarring of your life. One sin leads to another, so let God help you with your "little sins" before they turn into tragedies.

It's been too long.

Sorry it has taken me months to write another Blog.
Life got in the way.

Here's whats been going on:
I got a job up in Virginia.
We moved.
We looked for places to stay.
Started work.
Found a place to stay.
Tore down all the wall paper, painted all the rooms, made some minor repairs.
Unpacked most of our stuff.

It's been a lot of fun, and Rachel and I love it up here in the mountains. Couldn't have asked for a better situation to be in! Good place, good people, good church... it's been incredible.

Hopefully I'll be blogging more often now. Check out the website I've made if you havent already. It's for our student ministry here in VA.

Why I Hate The Movies

I went to see a movie last night, and realized why I hate the movies. Not the actual movie itself, or film in general, because I love both of them. But the movie theater has some of the worst qualities in the world. And it wasn't even the cleanliness of the theater (it is brand new and very nice) or the price (ok, I don't like paying 8 bucks a pop, but I'll do it).

Top 3 reasons why I hate the movies:

1) Feet.

I'm 5'11", which is not really short or really tall, but merely average. However, I do not like to sit extremely upright, for I'm a sloucher. So I put my feet up on the chair in front of me. But I hate the movies because no matter how many open seats around me, some bald headed popcorn chewer has to sit right in front of me, taking my foot space.

2) Women.

Now, I'm not sexist. This is merely referring to last night's movie. While sitting in my chair, a group of three older ladies came by and sat next to me and my wife. No buffer seat. They then proceeded to talk throughout the ENTIRE movie. Not anything important, just repeating what was just said, commented loudly on Sandra Bullock, etc. Now, I can take some quiet whispers, but these ladies were shouting over the movie to make the most pointless comments in the history of the world. I had to pull a "I have a phone call that I have to take" and walk out, so I could come back in and sit on the other side of Rachel.

3) Parents.

Let me tell you of an occasion that I have been a witness to some of the worst parenting ever. Yesterday, I went to a movie that was rated PG-13, and for the most part was not too inappropriate for kids. A few months ago, however, I watched a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids under the age of 8) walk in and sit down to watch the new Rambo movie, which by the way, was all about the killing of kids and the killing of men. That movie set the record for most on screen kills ever in a movie. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU BRING A CHILD TO SEE IT? I had to sit through a movie listening to "Mommy, why is he killing that man?" Not enjoyable.

I'm done. I realize I'm complaining (I like to call it blogging) so I'll stop. But I say all this to say:

You can't beat Redbox. A dollar a movie, just me and my wife, in the comforts of our home and no annoying people ruining the movie for me.

Thanks for reading. You stay classy, Planet Earth.

UFC 100 Picks- Outcomes

Got all the undercard winners right, except Bonnar/Coleman.

I was right that Akiyama would win, but I was more impressed with myself in saying it will be fight of the night. UFC awarded both fighters 100K for their performances.

Dan Henderson knocking out Bisping was incredible!

Called the Lesnar fight almost to a T.

I picked all the Main Card winners fine. My methods were all off, but the winners were right. Ten out of eleven!

UFC 100 Picks- Main Card

Main Card Predictions

Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Alan Belcher
I'm most excited about this fight. Akiyama is the best fighter you have never heard of. He's a legit top 5 middleweight and could seriously challenge Anderson Silva for the title. His only loss is from a fight with a guy 80 lbs. heavier than him. Belcher used to be a gatekeeper of the division, but now he's taking his job seriously and the results have followed. I think if Akiyama can handle the transition from a ring to a cage, he'll win. Either way, this fight will be Fight of the Night.
Prediction: Akiyama, Submission, Rd. 2

Jon Fitch vs. Paulo Thiago
Thiago knocked out a foolish (for not wanting to wrestle) Josh Koscheck. Fitch will come in smarter than his teammate Kos and wear out a prepared Thiago. Fight could end early, but look for a decision in favor of Fitch. If Thiago somehow pulls this out, he's beat two top 5 welterweights. I can't see that happening though.
Prediction: Fitch, Very Unanimous Decision

Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping
Bisping is a fool if he think he can knock out Dan Henderson. Hendo has fought the best and has never been knocked out. Bisping will look good for a round or two, but Henderson will prove to be too much.
Prediction: Henderson, Unanimous Decision

UFC WW Champion Georges St. Pierre vs. Thiago Alves

St. Pierre is the most complete fighter in MMA. I'm not particularly fond of him (I'm a Matt Hughes fan) but I respect his style and dedication. I think Alves will be looking to use his strength and striking and look (too hard) to knock out the champ. GSP will eat a few knees on his way to takedown Alves, but he will eventually get him down, control Thiago Alves, and pull of a smooth submission.
Prediction: GSP, Submission (Armbar), Rd. 4

UFC HW Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Interim HW Champion Frank Mir
Toughest fight to call. Lesnar will have improved leaps and bounds. Mir looked good against Big Nog. I say...
Prediction: Lesnar, TKO, Rd. 3 to set up the best Trilogy since Liddell/Couture!

Can't wait for tonight!

UFC 100 Picks- Undercard

I haven't done picks for a UFC event in awhile, and with UFC 100 coming up tonight, I decided to make some predictions.

Undercard
Stephan Bonnar vs. Mark Coleman
Bonnar is too young and has good enough jiu jitsu to submit a tired, old Coleman in the second round.
Prediction: Bonnar, submission, Rd. 2
Jon Jones vs. Jake O’Brien
Jon Jones is a freak. O'Brien will try to wrestle (aka lay on him) a decision but Jones will prevail.
Prediction: Jones, TKO, Rd. 3
TJ Grant vs Dong Hyun “Stun Gun” Kim
Stun Gun will land a lot of punches. Grant will try a lot of subs. Split Decision written all over this evenly matched up fight.
Prediction: DHK, Split Decision
Mac Danzig vs. Jim Miller
I think Danzig will be winning this fight, but look for a Miller submission out of nowhere.
Prediction: Miller, Submission (Rear Naked Choke), Rd. 2
CB Dollaway vs. Tom Lawlor
CB lacks a stand-up games, but is the superior wrestler. I think Lawlor knocks him out cold, and I couldn't be happier.
Prediction: Lawlor, TKO, Rd. 1
Matt Grice vs. Shannon Gugerty
A boring fight to start off the night.
Prediction: Gugerty, Decision

Thoughts I Think

1. I love my wife!
2. I played golf the other day for the first time since dislocating my thumb in October. Felt great!
3. I wish the Knicks traded up to get Stephen Curry. Sigh...
4. I used to love the Sega game Mutant Football League. It was football with aliens and monsters. When you played in space, you could throw the deep ball real easy and when you hit the other team, they could float away. Also, you could bribe the refs. Fantastic game!
5. Back to golf, I shot a 102, which for me is good. I shot a 45 back 9, and I was really visually seeing the ball better and was able to play a more strategic game. I credit it to playing the Wii on my off days.
6. I can't wait for UFC 100.
7. I always enjoy watching Seinfeld, no matter how many times I've seen the episode.
8. I want cowboy boots.
9. I didn't think asparagus really made your pee smell. It does.
10. I should own something spandex. Preferably a onesie.

That's on my mind.

Father's Day Special

This is the Father's Day Edition of my blog:

Top 5 Things That Define My Dad, Big Frank:
1) Provider. Big Frank always made it priority #1 to take care of his family and I'm extremely thankful for it.
2) Coach. Big Frank not only coached me in sports, but in life and how to be a man.
3) Husband. Anyone who puts up with my mom for 25 years deserves some sort of award!
4) Comedian. Who cares if it's the same 4 jokes recycled over time!
5) Mustache. He keeps it there to remind people of this: I was a cop, and I mean business.

Big Red

Just read the story of Jacob and Esau (aka BIG RED, according to Dr. Hindson) and it got me thinking. Isaac was married at 40, prayed for kids, and had to wait til he was 60. That's a long wait.

Later in the passage (Genesis 25:19-34 if you want to read it), Esau sold his birthright (basically, his inheritance, although with more honor, leadership, and blessings) to his brother Jacob for a bowl of stew. Esau perceived at that moment that he was "dying of starvation" after a big game hunt, but in all reality, his perception of that moment skewed his thinking of the future.

Let's compare these two similar circumstances:
Isaac and Esau wanted something. They both wanted it NOW.
Isaac prayed. Isaac was blessed.
Esau acted. Esau lost out on blessings.

Sometimes God allows us periods of time to go by in order for us to mature, appreciate his answers, and show us our real needs. When we "pull an Esau" and live for the moment, we lose out on long term blessings that God promises us when we choose to seek Him instead of seeking "Now".

Water the Camels

Hello blogosphere!
I help out with the children's ministry at my church, and this week we learned about Abraham sending his servant to get a wife for his son Isaac. Then I opened my Bible up and lo and behold, the chapter (Genesis 24) I was reading was that same story. Of course, teaching small children the story is a lot different then teaching a 22 year old child in myself. Ok, maybe not a lot different.

Anyway, the story goes that Abraham asks one of his servants to go to his homeland and get a wife for his son Isaac. This was the norm for marriages at the time. I looked at this passage with a different approach. It wasn't about Abraham or Isaac or Rebekah, but rather the response of the servant Eliezer, and also Laban and Bethuel (Rebekah's family). If you can, check out the chapter, but specifically look into verses 12-14, 21, 50 and 52. Their understanding of what it means to do God's work is incredible and incredibly easy. Here it is:
1. Pray
2. Do
3. Thank

I love verse 21 where Eliezer watches in silence, wondering if the Lord answered his prayer. He saw that God did and he immediately thanked God and worshiped him. His response was praise and thanksgiving.
It made me think... How many times when God tells me to do something, my response ends in silence wondering if it truly was God instead of trusting His work and thanking him for using me?

Bill's Blog: Wedding Edition!

So in case you lived under a rock the past month... I got married! Everything about it was fantastic, but for the sake of this blog and your entertainment, I created a top ten list of the best parts of the wedding!

1. The ducks. In the middle of our ceremony, we had some ducks start quacking and walking up trying to interrupt our lovely day. It was great! Except they bit our photographer and one of my best friends, Jesse Pomeroy. Sorry Jess!
2. Watching Rachel and her dad rock out to their Father-Daughter dance, "Sweet Child of Mine" by Guns 'N' Roses. Jim air guitaring with a broken rib was impressive!
3. Ben Young. He was "that guy" at the wedding. As in: my family watched the dance floor and asked, "who's that guy?" Clad in a nice black suit, thin black tie, the man was dressed sharply and quite the dancer. Props Ben Young, props.
4. All our LU friends dancing with the little kids. Too cute.
5. Leaving the reception to go on our honeymoon!!!
6. Table 11 literally paying off the DJ to get their table called.
7. Rachel Kuhl catching the bouquet and her excitement of continuing her streak of 4 weddings in a row!
8. Getting to the reception before everyone else (they were stuck in traffic), turning around and leaving to get a McDonald's milkshake with Rachel, Jesse, Bryan and Janice.
9. My cousin Jayden discovering he was my cousin. He came up to the head table, asked me who I was, and was flabbergasted that I knew him, and was related! It was great.

10. And the best part of the whole wedding was marrying my best friend, my wife, the love of my life, Rachel Lynn MURAWSKI!

Season Finales

So I'm getting married soon which is why my posts have been less frequent, but here's a short one that portrays my thoughts on recent Season Finales.

The Office: Grade C... First of all, only a half hour long. Are you serious?? Second, nothing happened. Dwight was funny, nothing happened with Michael and Holly, and OK, Pam is prego, but how does that add to a future storyline. This whole season was a let down from past seasons (minus the Dance Party and a few other episodes).
Grey's Anatomy: Grade B+... I actually liked how they ended this one. I wanted to see a wedding between McDreamster and Grey only because I'm sick of that storyline too. Didn't see George getting hit by a bus coming, but he looked good in army gear/shaved head.
Survivor: Grade A-... Survivor always comes through for me. Even though everyone knew who would win, it was a good finale.
24: D... First off, I didn't start watching 24 til college, but I did backtrack and watch the first couple of seasons, which I loved. But this whole season was predictable, boring, and if I never see another episode again, my life would go on as usual. I knew Jack wouldn't explode, I knew Tony would get shot, I know Jack will survive. Predictable.
Parks and Recreation: A+... Ahhh, a show that started off slow (and too much like the Office, which I think a show needs its own style) and ended fabulously. I have never been a big Amy Poehler fan but I have come to enjoy this show immensely. With the guy falling in the pit and Chris Pratt's character laughing all the way into the house was great. Grade A quality show. Can't wait for this to come back on.

And that's it. Tell me what you think!

Top 5 Things on My Brain

1. Pete Rose belongs in the Hall of Fame.

2. How long does it take a rotting corpse to start smelling to the point where the neighbors investigate?

3. I'm ready for a zombie invasion.

4. 17 days!!!!

5. How much do celebrities such as... oh, Tom Green.... make now? You know, the washed up comedians, former athletes, reality stars from 5 years ago. What's a salary look like for them?

And that's on my mind.

Dizzy as a Dingbat

I am sick and wanted to write something. This is the result.

I'm dizzy as a dingbat,
What's that?
I'm dizzy as a dingbat.
Why's that?
I'm sick as pickled yam.
Medicated I am.
I'm dizzy as a dingbat.

That's my little rhyme.

Bill on Life

First of all, to the hundreds (400+ views!) of you reading my blog (or maybe it's just a few of you obsessively checking it over and over), I want to say thank you! It has been a pleasure and an easy transition from life outside of the interweb to the blogosphere nation in which I currently reside.

With that being said, I know a few of you really love me and care about me (or atleast pretend to) so I'll give you an update on my life. Here are Bill's thoughts on:

Marriage: In 31 days, I will be married! Things are progressing nicely. We are getting a lot of stuff done, still a lot to do. I realized though when I get excited, it makes Rachel much more excited. Don't get me wrong, I have been looking forward to May 30th for a long time now, but I haven't gotten into the whole wedding planning stuff until recently. My job is to create wedding party introductions for the reception, so if you are reading this, and have any input on how we should announce them (misc. facts, descriptions, etc.) for Bryan Murawski/Holly Evans, Todd Roth/Rachel Rossin, or Jordan Benjamin/Lianne Lowen, please leave a comment!

Job: This part is two fold: Current and Failed Attempts.
I'm currently a waiter at River City Cafe again, but not at the same location. I went to the one in Myrtle Beach (73rd street, come visit!) and it's awesome. People there are my age and it's really laid back.
I'm currently looking for a position in youth ministry. I've interviewed with 4 different churches, with no luck. I've been close on two, but God doesn't seem to want me in either, so we're still looking. I have an interview up near Charlottesville, VA on Thursday that I am really looking forward to, so be praying!

Toothbrushes: They are so hard to find. I had to replace mine yesterday. Do you know how hard this process is?? First of all, I went to Wal-Mart and looked for one. Lots of options. Except here's the thing. I need a soft bristle toothbrush (it's my preference), but they make them so you can really feel the head of the brush until you buy it. Now I know that no one should ever return a toothbrush or buy a used one, but I want something that I know I'll like. Why does this process have to be so "all or nothing"? I bought one (I had to!) and I'm not completely pleased with it. Maybe I'll go buy another one. Maybe I'll stick with it. I just got really sad writing this, so this is the end of my post.

Love you all and keep reading my blog! Tell all your friends!

Peach (I saw Jordan write Peach instead of peace by accident, so this is a tribute to him)

Farming 101

This has nothing to do with farming and this has everything to do with farming. You can figure it out.

Faith grows with use. We must use the little faith we have in order to develop great faith. Put it to work (cultivate it) by reverent prayer and faithful praying and it will grow stronger day by day. The man of small faith may be simply the one who has not dared to exercise the little faith he has.

Our prayer should be this: Lord, I know my faith needs to grow, so please help me to exercise what faith I have and anticipate that growth and stretching.

That was an summary of what I read today from AW Tozer. Then I went into the book of Matthew, Chapter 4, verses 18-22.

18As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20At once they left their nets and followed him.

21Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

The fishermen became such great men of God because they used the faith that they had at the time (whether it was big or small) and they acted on it. They already had some faith (they were most likely disciples of Jesus at the time). Now they were being called to a special service. What what was their reaction?

They immediately, without reservation or hesitation, responded and left their nets, their ship, and for James and John, they left their father.

Do we have that same response when God calls us to take our next step? If we want our faith to grow, are we using the faith that we have right now?

Wild Fires

Please be praying for these fires to be contained. The way Myrtle Beach is set up, with our waxy trees and ecosystem, it just fuels a fast moving fire. About 70 homes have been destroyed. A hundred more have been damaged.

I personally saw the faces of people I know that have lost everything. Not just their house, but everything: pictures, driver's license, clothes, everything. I can't imagine completely starting over. Again, please pray that this does not spread any further.

I Broke Into A Car Today...

So today, my lovely fiancee gave me the opportunity to break into her car today. Wire hanger and all.

I must say, it was a fun little game while it lasted. I enjoyed the dirty looks, the stares, and the "is he supposed to be doing that?" comments.

If you ever get the chance, break into your own car. Not someone else's. Unless they know about it.

The Polish Powerhouse

I need to find a gym, train in mixed martial arts, then fight. That would be sweet. "The Polish Powerhouse" Bill Murawski. Sounds good, doesn't it??

No?

Then what does? If you had to give me a nickname (aka Bill "The Assassin" Murawski), what would it be?

The results of this post may change my destiny. My fate, and nickname, are in your hands.

Zac Efron

Yesterday, I went to see 17 Again, starring Matthew Perry and Zac Efron.

First of all, Rachel wanted to see it, and to me, it didn't look bad.

Thoughts on Zac Efron:
1) Zac Efron has way too much armpit hair. Way too much.
2) No way Zac Efron grows up to look like Matthew Perry.
3) Zac Efron is a great actor. Funny guy. No wonder the girls all like him...

Finally, if you go see the movie, check out the credits.

Obama and Taxes

Now let me preface this with saying, this is not a political post. I just stumbled upon this and found it interesting.

The Obamas and Bidens File Taxes
by Mike Krumboltz

April 15, 2009 05:23:20 PM

Taxes are the pits, but at least they don't discriminate — everybody has to pay 'em. And that includes the leader of the free world and his right-hand man.

The tax returns for President Obama and Vice President Biden were recently released to the public. Quicker than you can say "spread the wealth," searches on both documents skyrocketed.

Now, normally tax returns don't inspire a lot of buzz. But when it's the Obamas' and the Bidens', the 1040s are actually pretty interesting. According to an article from Reuters, President Obama (who filed jointly with his wife, Michelle), reported an adjusted gross income of $2,656,902. They paid roughly $855,000 in federal income taxes and almost $78,000 in state income taxes.

Now hold up—since when do (honest) politicians make millions of dollars? Well, normally they don't. But Mr. Obama is also a best-selling author. The majority of his 2008 income came from sales of his two memoirs, "Dreams of My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope." Interestingly, the Obamas' income took a substantial drop in 2008. According to Fox News, the couple actually pulled in $4.2 million in 2007.

In comparison to his boss's return, Vice President Biden's 1040 looked downright modest. The VP and his wife reported an income of $269,256 for 2008. That's roughly a tenth of what the Obamas declared. Still, a good portion of that came from sales of Mr. Biden's memoir, "Promises to Keep." UPI reports that the Bidens reported donations of $1,885 to charity in 2008, but the White House notes that the Bidens made additional donations to their church that weren't included (lest you think they're stingy).

24

24 Hours

In high school, I was part of a successful swim team. Today, I’m part of a successful church team. This past weekend we saw 2,460 join our Easter services. On top of that, 160 came forward to receive Christ. So naturally in staff meeting on Tuesday, we are faced with this: What’s Next?

On the swim team, Coach Brewer knew we were successful. But many times after a win, our heads would get big and we lose focus of our goal: the championship. So he gave us these words after each win and loss: “You have 24 hours to remember this meet. If we win, enjoy it. If we lose, sulk over it. But 24 hours from now, we move on, learn from it, and move towards our goal.”

This weekend we saw an attendance of 2,460. We have had our 24 hours to enjoy it, learn from it, and now we continue on towards the goal. We can’t linger on this success. We should be grateful and thank God for it, yes, but then strive to get these new guests plugged in, serving, baptized, and growing. Our goal is for all to know the name of God. We had a great weekend at Barefoot Church. Our 24 hours of enjoying that success are up. Let’s take our next step together towards our goal.

Disgust

Cartoon elephants make me sick.
They kiss with their trunks, even though that is clearly their nose, not their mouth.
Ugh, yuck.

I think I have an ear infection. But my two best friends are coming for Easter, so I'll put off the pain til Monday!

I found this today...

I Am, Therefore I Watch

I watch TV.

I have watched every episode of Seinfeld, The Office, King of Queens, and Survivor.

I think I watch all of those shows, because my personality is so engrained in the characters. Someone once said I was like Jerry Seinfeld. I told him I wasn’t Jewish, or a professional comedian. I think he meant it more along the lines of I’m the glue that holds a group of friends together. I said thank you to him. I watch the Office because I am just as awesome as Jim/Dwight/Creed/Andy but not Stanley or Bob Vance. One day though. One day.

I watch King of Queens because I am much like the father (Jerry Stiller). I live in a sectioned-off part of the house, and I have arthritis. And I watch Survivor because I am like everyone who has ever won the show. I am a winner. Plain and simple. And I can go a month without shaving.

Tozer Time!

So I’ve been reading a new devotional that my mentor Don Meckley got me called Tozer on Christian Leadership by A.W. Tozer. Aiden Wilson Tozer was born in 1897, yet his writings are like he was writing specifically to me in my culture today. I believe that is because his content is based completely on Scripture, which, as we may or may not know, transcends time.

I started reading April 1st, and the purpose of this post is really to just share what I’ve learned. I will write my learnings (Is that a word? Probably not because Microsoft Word red-squiggly lined it) in a numbered format (which is my favorite).

1)True Prayer cannot be imitated nor can it be learned from someone else. Almost everything associated with ministry can be learned with some intelligent application, but not prayer.
b) No one should stand before an audience who has not first stood before God. Stay with God in private longer than you stay with people in public.
XII) The Christian’s heart must be soaked in prayer before the true spiritual fruits begin to grow.
4 ½) Written 100 years ago, Tozer says that we are “the busiest bunch of eager beavers ever seen in the religious world. In our busyness, we tend to develop a rash of amateurism, causing our lights to stay burning, but not brighter.
11z) While Tozer is stimulating me, my real desire is to hear from God. How often do I say “Here I am, God. Begin to teach me!”

I highly recommend this devotional. It’s a page a day, which is sweet, because I'm not a morning person, but I try to put God first everyday.

Lefts and Wombats

Yes. I decided to blog. Eventually, I will vlog, but not yet. I have decided to blog because I love my life and I think you should be welcomed into it a little more. Some posts will be funny, sad, serious, and weird, and some won’t make sense at all. They will all have some randomness, because that’s how God created my brain. They all make sense in my head, and there is some sort of connection from one to the next. So let’s start…

I was thinking today about one time I went to the movies. I went with my good friend Jesse Pomeroy and some friends to the midnight showing and we got out of the movie late. It was about 2 in the morning, and I have no clue if the movie was good or not. But we were bored, so I decided to only take left turns to get home. Now, the theater was about 10 minutes from my house, and we didn’t know if it was going to be possible. But after only one illegal driving maneuver, and 55 minutes later, we pulled into my driveway in reverse, making the trip a success.

Try it one time. Pick a destination and get there only taking lefts.

Also, Google the animal Wombat. Odd looking animals.
